‘b’, or: ‘d’

Oh, David! This reminds me of home in Southwestern Iowa in many ways: Lincoln Elementary, Clarinda Junior and Senior High, our split redwood on West Main once in the backyard until Sherrill Lisle didn’t like it there. Or the house, either, come to think of it.

I used to practically live in that tree reading and eating. I could watch Daddy come up our fishhook driveway from there. Beep and wave. Hi, Daddy!

I didn’t come out of that tree for just anybody.

So many memories! Thank you, David. You make an old lady very happy.
