Growly Tuesday

This has already been an annoying morning. I used to appreciate so many things. This morning? Not so much.

Jeff Bezos tried to buy astronaut wings for a few billion dollars. NASA told him “no”. Go NASA! I’m proud of you.

I’m also looking for a way to stop using both Amazon and Kindle. I was never much of a boycotter before. I am now. Mark looks at me, batting his eyes, claiming Bezos is just a capitalist. Maybe he is, but he’s a raging lunatic narcissistic capitalist. Even Mark’s idol, Steven Pinker, would quietly agree.

That’s the thing about capitalism. When you disagree with someone’s monopolistic behavior, you opt out and move on. Watch me. Amazon is not going to “company store” me.

I noticed that Facebook’s rating had dropped to just barely above 3 stars. The last time I noticed, it was at least 4. This makes me very glad to have dropped SMS altogether. It was a wise move on my part. It’s time for the world to move on.

I’m tired of media in general, actually. I’m going to read my people on here, my nonpartisan science articles and forget media entirely. There’s no room in my life for that kind of sensationalism.
