As you know, I started out the week in a negative fashion. I had that Moh’s surgery on my back, and I thought that would be it.
Then Gizzie said, “Watch this, Mommy!!” and proceeded to munch on a bunch of buttercups.
We are ignorant cat parents about some things. This was one of them. Buttercups are toxic to cats. Gizzie threw up from about 3 a.m. until we got him to the vet at noon. The damage was not extreme, limited to irritating his stomach lining. We gave him the generic form of Pepcid for a couple of days and he’s fine now. Little punk.
The report came back yesterday that there is no evidence of either basal cell carcinoma or melanoma on my back this time. They dug deep, but no evidence of such. This is good!
Tim Burton’s version of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children was bloody awesome. I highly recommend it. Sure, there are differences between it and the book series, but the differences make complete sense, and I was just as wrapped up in his version. It was fabulous!
I went back to Facebook for a week. I’m not spending that kind of time there again. It’s nice to be back in touch with old friends, but Zuck is still a schmuck. I might go there once a week, no more.
We’re going to shoot for a better all-around week. Let’s start over!
